Take that First Step!

 

Is there something you want to do? Something you want to achieve?

If you’re anything like me then the answer is…YES of course.

Many times when we want something we never had, we hesitate in taking action
towards it. We procrastinate and we know we do it…Why!?

Well when it comes to procrastinating, I read somewhere once before that there are only
2 reasons why we do it…

Reason #1 – We feel over skilled for the task or project. 

Reason #2 – People feel under skilled for the task or project.

When I read that, it really opened my eyes.

I realized that for most people Reason #2 is what grips us from taking action towards our dreams and goals.

Feeling under skilled only means, we do not feel confident in what we are about to do. To sum
it up…We’re just scared.

Scared to mess up. Scared to fail. Afraid of how we will look in others
eyes. The list can go on and on…

The only thing we can do to overcome this is to…Take that First Step. After the first step just step again.

You will learn as you go.

I have found the more I step forward the easier stepping becomes. Through practice I become more confident in my steps.

Expect to make mistakes because you will.

Just keep stepping and commit to improving on each step…

Learning is in the journey and Everyday is Practice.
